Ear Wax Removal Leicester Forest East – I’m an Independent Audiologist with more than 15 years of dedicated experience in hearing care. My career began in the NHS as a Paediatric Audiologist, where I gained a deep understanding of how hearing affects communication, confidence and day-to-day life from an early age. This early foundation continues to influence my clinical approach today — thorough, attentive and always centred around the person in front of me.
After several years in the NHS, I transitioned into the private sector, spending over a decade supporting adults with a wide range of hearing needs. Working independently allows me to provide longer appointments, clearer explanations, advanced clinical care, and a genuinely personal experience from start to finish.

We use gentle microsuction, a safe and precise method that removes ear wax under direct visual guidance without flushing the ear with water.
Yes. When performed by a qualified Audiologist, microsuction is one of the safest wax removal techniques available, with minimal risk of discomfort.
You usually don’t need to prepare beforehand. If wax is very dry, a small amount of olive oil for 2–3 days may help, but we will advise you individually.
Most people find microsuction comfortable. You may hear some suction noise, but the procedure is typically quick and gentle.
If the wax is too impacted or unsafe to remove fully on your first visit, we will arrange a free follow-up appointment.
Yes. Blocked ears can cause temporary hearing loss, a feeling of fullness, muffling or feedback in hearing aids. Once wax is removed, hearing often improves immediately.
Microsuction is usually suitable, but we will assess your ear canal first. If we see anything that requires medical review, we will guide you appropriately.
The appointment typically lasts 20–30 minutes, including video otoscopy, wax removal, and your complimentary hearing check.
Hearing aids can sometimes encourage wax to accumulate because they sit in the ear canal. Regular ear checks can help prevent future blockages.
